Biography

General: Fourth-year player… a hard-working linebacker who continues to improve with experience… will look to battle for playing time for the Gorillas again this fall.

In 2015-16: Saw action in two games in a reserve role in 2017… suffered a knee injury and missed the 2016 season after redshirting in his initial year in the Pitt State program (2015).

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 5A All-State performer as a senior at Blue Valley High School… a two-time All-League selection (2013-14)… made 136 tackles with two fumble recoveries and one interception as a senior for the Tigers… helped BVHS to the Class 5A state title as a junior in 2013.

Personal: Born March 11, 1997… son of Aaron and Diana Smith… a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.58 GPA as a management major.
