Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Fourth-year player… a talented and versatile athlete… a returning All-MIAA performer who is primed for a big senior season… expected to be an impact performer for the Gorillas again this fall… played running back as a freshman for Pitt State, before moving to linebacker in 2015… a 2017 PSU team captain.

In 2016: Started all 11 games… made 90 tackles (39 solo) with 8.0 tackles-for-loss… also registered one interception, two PBUs and a fumble recovery on the season… posted double-digit tackles three times, including a career-high 13 stops vs. ESU (Oct. 22)… made eight stops and returned an interception 23 yards for a touchdown vs. LWU (Sept. 24).

In 2015: Saw action in all 11 games in a reserve role and on special teams… made 10 tackles (five solo) on the season… made a season-high three stops vs. MSSU (Oct. 31).

In 2014: Saw action in 10 games in a reserve role and on special teams… carried the ball four times for seven yards on the season… also made two solo tackles.

In High School: A two-time first-team Missouri Class 3A All-State selection at linebacker at Oak Grove High School (2012-13)… recorded 101 tackles (71 solo) with five tackles-for-loss his senior year… also rushed the ball for 1,334 yards and 20 touchdowns… helped the Panthers post a 22-3 combined record his final two prep seasons.

Personal: Born June 23, 1995… son of Darin and Danielle Fugitt… a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.76 GPA as an exercise science major.
