Biography

General: Third-year player… a promising cornerback prospect who continues to improve with experience… a hard worker who will look for a breakthrough season this fall.

In 2017: Saw action in seven games in a reserve role and on special teams. 

In 2014-16: Saw limited action in 2015 after redshirting in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2014)… did not compete in the fall of 2016. 

In High School: A first-team All-Conference and first-team All-District performer as a senior at Lee’s Summit High School in 2013… made 42 tackles with one interception and nine pass breakups… helped the Tigers to a 10-2 record his senior season.

Personal: Born April 28, 1996… son of Sam and Karen Gilkey… a construction management major.
