Biography

General: Fourth-year player… a promising linebacker who will look to battle for playing time for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2019-21: Saw action in one game in 2021… did not see any action in 2020… redshirted in his initial season in the Pitt State program (2019).

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 2A All-State selection as a senior at Chaparral High School… tabbed the Class 2A Defensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas & the Class 2A Player of the Year by Vype… made 102 tackles (63 solo), one interception, 12 pass breakups and four forced fumbles for the Roadrunners… a two-time All-State honoree… three-time first-team All-Central Plains League defensive selection… the CPL Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2018… a 2019 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.

Personal: Born February 20, 2001… son of Justin and Sara Burke… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.22 GPA as a construction engineering technology major.
