Biography

General: Enters his fifth season in the Pitt State program in 2025 ... A talented interior lineman that will once again be expected to be a front line performer this fall.

2024: Started in seven of the nine games on the defensive line ... Finished the season with 15 tackles (8 solo), 5.0 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 sacks ... Recorded sacks against Missouri Western (Oct. 5) and Nebraska - Kearney (Oct. 12).

2023: Competed in 10 games … Made 11 tackles including 3.0 tackles-for-loss … Also forced two fumbles and blocked a kick.

2022: Saw action in eight games … Posted 11 tackles (four solo) with 2.0 tackles-for-loss, one pass breakup and a blocked kick.

2021: Redshirted.

HS: A standout prep performer at Raymore-Peculiar High School … Registered nine quarterback sacks in helping the Panthers to a 12-2 record and the Missouri Class 6A state title his senior year.

Personal: Born October 7, 2002 … Son of Kirk Sharp and Yolonda Newsome … A four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll with a 3.02 GPA as a management major.
