Biography

General: Third-year player… a talented running back who gained quality experience the past two seasons… coming off a productive spring camp… expected to contend for significant action in the backfield for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2017: Saw action in all 12 games in a reserve role… carried the ball 37 times for 174 yards (4.7 ypc) and six TDs… rushed the ball four times for a career-high 41 yards and a TD vs. NSU (Sept. 16).

In 2016: Saw action in 10 games in a reserve role… carried the ball 30 times for 127 yards (4.2 ypc) and three touchdowns… also caught four passes for 20 yards (5.0 ypc) out of the backfield…  rushed the ball seven times for a season-high 37 yards and a TD vs. UNK (Nov. 5).

In 2015: Redshirt season.

In High School: A Missouri Class 4A All-State performer as a senior at Carl Junction High School in 2014… the Big Eight Conference Offensive Player of the Year as well as the SW Missouri Football Coaches co-Offensive MVP… rushed for 2,025 yards and 40 TDs as a senior for the Bulldogs… also rushed for 1,475 yards and 32 TDs as a junior in 2013… a two-time All-Big Eight Conference pick.

Personal: Born April 7, 1997… son of Sandy Scheurich… a management major.
