General: Fifth-year player… a talented defensive end and returning All-MIAA performer… primed for a big senior season for the Gorillas this fall… has made 124 career tackles (62 solo).
In 2020: Started all four games at defensive end after converting from linebacker… made 15 tackles (six solo) with 1.5 tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
In 2019: Started all 11 games… made a team-leading 86 tackles (42 solo) with 7.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 quarterback sacks, one interception and one pass break-up… posted double digit stops in five games, including a career high 12 tackles vs. NWMSU (Oct. 12)… garnered honorable mention All-MIAA honors.
In 2018: Saw action in all 11 games in a reserve role and on special teams… made 19 tackles (12 solo) on the season.
In 2017: Saw action in all 12 games in a reserve role and on special teams… made four tackles (two solo) on the season… also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown vs. UCO (Sept. 9).
At SDSU: Redshirted in his only season at South Dakota State University (2016).
In High School: A Missouri Class 4A All-State performer as a senior at Webb City High School in 2015… helped the Cardinals to a 58-2 record, three Class 4A state titles (2012-14) and a state runner-up finish (2015)… made 236 tackles with 10.0 TFLs, 4.0 quarterback sacks and two interceptions over his final two prep seasons.
Personal: Born July 29, 1997… son of Corey and Kerri Roy… graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication… currently pursuing a master’s degree in communication.
