Pittsburg State Gorillas

General: Second-year player… a returning All-MIAA performer… a talented safety who is primed for a big senior season.

In 2017: Saw action in 11 games, including six starts… made 66 tackles (39 solo) with 6.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 quarterback sack, two pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on the season… posted a season-best 15 tackles vs. Lindenwood (Sept. 23)… earned second-team All-MIAA honors.

In Junior College: Earned honorable mention NJCAA All-America honors as a sophomore at Mesa Community College in 2016… made 108 tackles (68 solo) with 5.0 tackles-for-loss, four interceptions, 19 pass break-ups and three forced fumbles… helped the Thunderbirds to a 9-2 record and a Valley of the Sun Bowl victory.

In High School: A stand-out prep performer at Red Mountain High School.

Personal: Born April 27, 1994 … son of James Beaver and Pamela Hayes … a marketing major.
