Biography

General: Fifth-year player… a talented defensive end who has evolved into a frontline player for the Gorillas… selected a 2015 team captain… coming off a solid spring camp… expected to be a frontrunner for one of Pitt State’s starting defensive end spots.

In 2014: Saw action in all 13 games in a reserve role… made 16 tackles (six solo) with 2.5 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 quarterback sacks.

In 2013: Saw action in nine games in a reserve role…made 10 tackles (four solo) with 2.5 tackles-for-loss and 2.0 quarterback sacks on
the season.

In 2011-12: Saw action in two games in a reserve role in 2012 after redshirting his initial saeson in the Pitt State program (2011).

In High School: An All-Conference performer as a senior at Lee’s Summit High School in 2010.

Personal: Born September 2, 1993… son of Trevor Strickland and Marquis Mitchell… a justice studies major.
