Biography


General: Fourth-year player… a versatile offensive lineman who has played both guard and tackle for the Gorillas… expected battle for the starting role at right guard this fall.

In 2010-12: Started all 10 games, primarily at left tackle, in 2012… competed in 10 games in 2011, starting in the NCAA-II semifinals vs. Delta State (Dec. 10)… redshirted in his intial season in the Pitt State program (2010).

In High School: A two-time Kansas Class 6A All-State performer at Olathe North High (2008-09)… garnered first-team All-State honors as a senior in 2009, helping the Eagles to a 13-0 record and the 6A state title… an honorable mention All-State selection as a junior in 2008.

Personal: Born December 22, 1991… son of Ed Venegas… a physical education major.
