Biography


General: Fourth-year player… a promising defensive line prospect… a hard worker who is looking for a breakthrough junior season… will look to battle for more significant action for the Gorillas this fall.

In 2012: Saw action in five games in a reserve role for Pitt State… made four tackles with 1.0 tackles-for loss on the year.

In 2010-11: Saw action in three games in a reserve role for the Gorillas in 2011, after redshirting in 2010… made four tackles and 0.5 quarterback sack on the season.

In High School: A three-time Kansas Class 4A All-State performer (2007-09) at Columbus High… a first-team All-State selection as a senior in 2009, after earning honorable mention All-State accolades in 2007-08… recorded 74 tackles with 5.5 QB sacks as a senior for the Titans… a 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.

Personal: Born July 6, 1991… son of David and Cristina Burns… a three-year member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll… has a 3.48 GPA as a management major.
