General: Sixth-year player… a talented running back and a returning All-MIAA performer… expected to be an impact performer for the Gorillas again this fall… has carried the ball 248 times for 1,389 career yards (5.6 ypc) and 13 touchdowns… also has 1,765 career all-purpose yards.
In 2020: Saw action in all four games… carried the ball 22 times for 104 yards (4.7 ypc)… rushed for a season-best 69 yards vs. West Texas A&M (Nov. 21).
In 2019: Started eight of 11 games played… carried the ball 62 times for 410 yards (6.6 ypc) and seven touchdowns… rushed four times for 69 yards and two TDs vs. LU (Oct. 5).
In 2018: Saw action in all 11 games, including one start… carried the ball 92 times for 500 yards (5.4 ypc) and five touchdowns, earning first-team All-MIAA honors as an all-purpose back… also caught 10 passes for 95 yards and a score… punted 10 times for a 39.5 yard average… rushed the ball 19 times for a career-high 139 yards and two TDs vs. UCM (Oct. 20), earning MIAA Offensive Player of the Week honors.
In 2017: Saw action in all 12 games, including three starts… carried the ball 72 times for 375 yards (5.2 ypc) and one touchdown on the season… also caught seven passes for 87 yards (12.4 ypc) out of the backfield… rushed 15 times for a season-high 89 yards vs. ESU (Oct. 21).
In 2016: Redshirt season.
In High School: The two-time Sports in Kansas Offensive Player of the Year (2014-15) … the first player in Kansas state history to rush and pass for 2,000 yards in a season (2015) … posted a 40-1 record as the starting quarterback at Rossville High School … guided the Bulldawgs to consecutive 14-0 seasons and back-to-back Class 3A state titles (2014-15) … compiled 6,944 career rushing yards and 109 TDs … posted 5,510 career passing yards with 67 TDs … a 2016 Kansas Shrine Bowl selection.
Personal: Born March 15, 1997… son of Terry and Wendi Horak… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll in 2017… he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies and currently has a 4.00 GPA pursuing a master’s degree in human resource development.
