General: Fourth-year player… a talented athlete who made the move from tight end to defensive line during a redshirt season in 2014… adjusted well to the move and looking for a big senior season.

In 2014: Redshirt season.

In 2012-13: Saw action in eight games as a reserve for the Gorillas over the past two seasons… competed in six games in 2013.

In Junior College: Spent two seasons at Dodge City Community College.

In High School: A first-team Kansas Class 4A All-State selection as an offensive lineman as a senior at Ulysses High in 2006… also earned second-team All-State honors as a defensive lineman that year for the Tigers… helped UHS to a 23-4 combined record his final two prep seasons.

Personal: Born July 27, 1988… son of Byron Bessette and Leslie Bessette… a management major.
