Biography

General: Enters his sixth season in the Pitt State program in 2026 ... A hard working linebacker that evolved into a front line performer in 2024… Expected to be an impact performer for the Gorillas once again this fall … A two-time Pitt State team captain (2025 & 2026).

2025: Preseason injury prematurely ended his season ... Received a medical redshirt.

2024: Started six of 10 games played … Made 30 tackles (16 solo) with 3.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks … Posted a career best seven tackles vs. ESU (Sept. 14).

2023: Saw action in all 13 games, including four starts … Posted 25 tackles (10 solo) with 2.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.0 quarterback sack … Also forced a fumble and recovered another.

2022: Appeared in 10 games in a reserve role … Made eight tackles (six solo) and 1.0 quarterback sack on the season.

2021: Redshirt season.

HS: A two-time Missouri Class 3A All-State performer at Cassville High School (2019-20) ... A three-year starter for the Wildcats.

Personal: Born December 20, 2002... son of Tom and Susan Coenen … A five-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, a CSC Academic All-District selection (2024) and an MIAA Academic Excellence Award winner in 2025 … Graduated from PSU with a 3.96 GPA and a bachelor's degree in plastics engineering technology … Currently pursuing a master's degree in engineering technology where he owns a 4.00 cumulative GPA following the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year.
