PITTSBURG -- Southwest Baptist University broke a 5-5 tie with a bases clearing double in the top of the 11th inning as the Bearcats swept a twinbill from Pittsburg State University Saturday (Apr. 5) at Al Ortolani Field. SBU claimed a 12-1 win in the early game Saturday.

The wins helped SBU improve to 17-16 overall and 14-12 in MIAA play, while Pitt State dropped to 13-21 overall and 10-17 in the MIAA.

The Gorillas and Bearcats will complete their four-game series with a final game at 1 p.m. Sunday (Apr. 5).
