PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team's four-game series scheduled for Friday and Saturday (Apr. 3) against Southwest Baptist University has been adjusted due to the threat of rain.
The Gorillas and Bearcats now will play a doubleheader Thursday (Apr. 2) starting at 1 p.m. (CDT) at Bolivar, Mo., before concluding the series with a 1 p.m. twinbill Saturday (Apr. 4).
Pitt State enters the series with a 9-18 overall record and a 5-11 mark in MIAA play. The Gorillas split a four-game MIAA series at home against Northwest Missouri State University last weekend. SBU is 12-16 overall and 7-13 in the MIAA. The Bearcats are coming off a non-conference doubleheader sweep of the College of the Ozarks (Mo.) Tuesday (Mar. 31).
