Tigers Sweep Pair from Gorillas Saturday


PITTSBURG -- The Fort Hays State University baseball team swept an MIAA doubleheader from Pittsburg State University Saturday (Apr. 11) at Al Ortolani Field. The Tigers defeated the Gorillas 8-5 and 7-2.

The losses drop the Gorillas to 12-23 overall and 8-16 in MIAA play, while the Tigers improved to 14-23 overall and 11-17 in the MIAA.

Pitt State will return to action Wednesday (Apr. 15) when the Gorillas host Lincoln University in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. (CDT).
