PITTSBURG, Kan. --Â The Pitt State Volleyball team (0-8) will travel to Russellville, Ark. on Friday and Saturday (September 18 and 19) for the Arkansas Tech GAC/MIAA Crossover. The Gorillas will face Southern Nazarene at 3 p.m. on Friday and Harding and Arkansas Tech at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Pitt State is coming off a 0-4 finish at the Rockhurst Invitational last weekend. Two of those losses were against No. 6 Wayne State (Neb.) and No. 17 Rockhurst.

After two weekends of play, The Gorillas averages 10.8 kills per set and hits a .126 clip. Three Gorillas have recorded 50 or more kills on the season, including Maggie Highberger and Lana DaSilva with 51 kills each. Lexi Fulghum adds 50 kills and also hits a team-high .239 clip. DaSilva and Taylor Unke make up for more than half of the team's total blocks with 38 combined blocks. Hansford and Taylyn Schwartz share setting duties, with Hansford contributing 5.11 assists per set and Schwartz with 4.22 aps. Junior libero Ashlen Schwartz posts 4.26 digs per set on the season.

Southern Nazarene is 4-5 going into the tournament after picking up their first conference win in their home opener against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday. The Gorillas have not matched up against The Crimson Storm since 1992.

As a team, Southern Nazarene is hitting at a .172 clip with 11.6 kps, while holding their opponents to just a .152 attack percentage and 11.2 kps. The team digs up 17.8 balls per set, led by defensive specialist Abbey Bell. McKenna Qualls leads the Crimson Storm offensively in kills and service aces with 3.33 kps and 22 aces. Makenna Benner is strong at the net with 27 total blocks on the season and hits a .221 clip. Elyse Berlin tallies 9.18 assists per season as the team's setter.

Harding is 3-6 for the season. The Lady Bison swept Henderson State in their conference opener Tuesday night, 3-0.

The Lady Bison average 12.3 kps while hitting at a .200 clip. They are strong at the let with 2.2 bps, while holding their opponents to just 1.6 bps. Molly Howard leads in kills with 3.64 kps. Current GAC Defensive Player of the Week Zoe Hardin is the team's top blocker, tallying 42 total blocks (11 solo, 31 assisted). She is also second in kills with 91 on the season and hits at a team-leading .312 clip. Abigail Glosup posts 10.25 as the team's setter and racks in 14 aces. Anna Leigh Cargile, the team's defensive specialist, records 3.81 dps.

Arkansas Tech improved to 6-3 after a 3-1 finish at their first home matches of the season last weekend and capturing their first conference victory against Southern Arkansas on Tuesday.

The Golden Suns are hitting a .214 clip while holding their opponents to just a .188 attack percentage. Freshman Hunter Eshnaur leads in kills for the Golden Suns, averaging 3.72 kps. Madison Nagel leads the team in aces, posting 10 for the season. Katie Huff and Kaci Jackson each have six aces. Defensively, Nagel leads the squad in digs with 5.26 dps, while Huff leads in blocks, posting 31 blocks on the season.
