MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team used a seven-run fifth inning to pull away and take a 13-3 run-rule victory over Pittsburg State University Sunday (Apr. 3) at Bearcat Field.
The Bearcats (17-13, 12-8 MIAA) swept the three-game MIAA series from the Gorillas (6-23, 1-19 MIAA) with the win.
Pitt State will return to action Tuesday (Apr. 5) when the Gorillas face MIAA rival Northeastern State University at 2 p.m. at Tahlequah, Okla.
