PITTSBURG -- The Bemidji State University baseball team strung together five two-out hits in the third inning, following a Pittsburg State University, to score six unearned runs and help the Beavers to a 6-3 win over the Gorillas Wednesday (Mar. 15).
The Gorillas (8-15) led 2-0 against the Beavers (3-7) before the pivotal third inning. Pitt State outhit BSU, 11-6, in the contest. Hunter Clanin paced the Pitt State offense with three hits.
Four relievers - Austin Brownell, Ty Rowe, Cooper Gardner and Cort Lesmeister - combined to limite the Beavers to one hit over the final six innings.
