MIAA Tournament Brackets & Game Times


KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The brackets for the 2020 MIAA Postseason Basketball Tournament have been released and the Pittsburg State University men's and women's basketball teams are preparing to take part in the action at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.

The Pitt State men earned the No. 10 seed in the tournament and the Gorillas will meet No. 7 seed University of Nebraska-Kearney at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday (Mar. 4). The winner of that game will advance to the tournament quarterfinals to meet No. 2 seed Rogers State University Thursday (Mar. 5) at 8:15 p.m. For the full men's tournament bracket, click here.

The Gorillas (11-17, 7-12 MIAA) and Lopers (16-12, 10-9 MIAA) met once during the regular season with UNK pulling out an 81-80 overtime win at Kearney, Neb., on Jan. 4.

The Pitt State women earned the No. 4 seed in the tournament and the Gorillas will meet No. 5 seed Fort Hays State University at Noon Friday (Mar. 6). The winner of that game will advance to the tournament semifinals at Noon Saturday (Mar. 7). For the full women's tournament bracket, click here.

The Gorillas (17-10, 13-6 MIAA) and the Tigers (22-6, 13-6 MIAA) met once during the regular season with FHSU pulling out a 75-74 win at Hays, Kan., on Jan. 6.

Gorilla fans can purchase tickets at the Pitt State Ticket Office or by calling (620) 235-4796. Advance tickets for all-session passes for all 18 men's and women's games to be played at Kansas City are $50. The price increases to $75 if purchased in Kansas City or through ticketmaster.com. Single session tickets also are available for $20 for adults and $5 for PSU students with a valid ID.
 
Local sales will run through Noon, Tuesday (Mar. 3).
