Tahlequah Okla. – A strong fourth quarter performance by the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team lifted them over Northeastern State University, 65-51.

Entering the fourth quarter the Gorillas were trailing the RiverHawks, 45-44. The Gorillas would waste no time regaining the lead after a 13-4 run to start the quarter. After a strong start to the quarter the Gorillas would keep the momentum to take the lead until the end.

Pitt State would finish shooting 71.4% from the field in the fourth quarter and would hold the RiverHawks to 20% and only six points in the quarter.

Sydnee Crain finished with 16 points six rebounds for the night. Tristan Gegg added 13 points and four assists.

The Gorillas return to Pittsburg to take on Lincoln University on Wednesday (Dec. 15).
