PITTSBURG -- The University of Central Missouri baseball team defeated Pittsburg State University, 13-1, Sunday (Apr. 11) to complete a three-game sweep of the Gorillas in their MIAA series.
The Mules improve to 24-4 overall and 20-1 in the MIAA with the series sweep, while Pitt State falls to 16-10 overall (12-9 MIAA).
UCM scored four runs in the first inning, two apiece in the second and third frames and three runs in the fourth inning to build an 11-0 lead. Pitt State plated its lone run of the game in the bottom of the fourth on Aaron Gerdes RBI double.
