JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Pittsburg State women's basketball program beat the Lincoln University Blue Tigers, 73-57 at Jason Gym on Monday (Dec.18).
The Gorillas (10-1, 5-1 MIAA) were led by Karenna Gerber (Halstead, Kan.) with 23 points going 7-of-12 from the field and 9-of-9 from free throws. Harper Schreiner (Eudora, Kan.) collected her 6th career double-double with a career-high 10 assists and 10 points to go with a team-high four steals.
Grace Pyle (McPherson, Kan.) finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Macie Mays (El Dorado Springs, Mo.) in her first collegiate start scored 11 points going 3-of-5 from three-point attempts.
As a team Pitt held the advantage in every shooting percentage, rebounds, assists, steals, fast break points, points off turnovers, points in the paint and second chance points.
Lincoln (4-6, 1-4 MIAA) was led by Ashlyn Alloway with 21 points and seven rebounds.
Up next will be a home game against Tabor on Saturday (Dec. 30) at John Lance Arena, tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. (CST)
