LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Pittsburg State University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 22nd Annual Live in the Lou Classic Saturday (Sept. 30).

The Pitt State men placed 13th overall among 39 competing schools, while the Pitt State women finished 20th among 36 teams. Grand Valley State University swept both the men's and women's competitions.

For the Gorillas men, redshirt senior Matthew Oglesby paced the squad by finishing 45th overall in the eight-kilometer race in 24 minutes, 29.2 seconds. Redshirt junior Braden Zaner finished 59th in 24:37.4 while redshirt freshman Tyler Atkins placed 70th overall (24:45.4).

Freshman Hannah Gibson led the Gorillas women with a 65th place finish (18:04.6) in their five-kilometer race. Freshman Paige Mullen (82nd, 18:13.8) and redshirt junior Kate Dawson (108th, 18:30.2) placed second and third, respectively, among the Pitt State runners.
