TOPEKA, Kan. – The 25th ranked Pittsburg State women's basketball program fell on the road 75-62 against Washburn at Lee Arena, on Saturday (Jan. 20).
The Gorillas (12-5, 6-5 MIAA) were led by Karenna Gerber (Halstead, Kan.) with 18 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Macie Mays (El Dorado Springs, Mo.) finished with 15 points going 7-of-9 from the field.
Washburn (11-6, 6-5 MIAA) was led by Aubree Dewey with 23 points and four steals as Yiibari Nwidadah finished with 15 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Up next for the Gorillas is Rogers State at John Lance Arena on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at 5:30 p.m. (CST).
