CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Pittsburg State University women's soccer team drew on the road against Rogers State University Friday (Oct. 4) at Soldier Field.
For the Gorillas (4-3-2. 0-1-2 MIAA),
Jadyn Newell scored her second goal of the season and
Ryann Caruth provided her first assist of the campaign in the 1st minute of the game. Caruth squared the ball inside the 18-yard box to Newell with her shot finding the back of the net from the first attack of the game for Pitt State.
The Hillcats equalized in the 11th minute with a goal from Mackenzie Smith, both teams threatened to claim the game in the second half but neither was able to come away with a game winning goal.
McKenna Robinson led the team with five shots, three being shots on goal while
Jocelyn Kramar finished with three saves in 90 minutes stationed between the sticks.
Up next for the Gorillas will be the Northeastern State University RiverHawks at DeLoache Field on Sunday (Oct. 6) beginning at 1:00 p.m. (CDT).
