Karenna Gerber posted a double double with a team-leading 14 points and 11 rebounds while leading the Pittsburg State University women's basketball team to a 75-56 victory over Rockhurst University Friday (Nov. 15) at Municipal Auditorium.
Gerber made seven of 10 shots from the floor as Pitt State (4-1) converted 28 of 66 shots overall (.424). She snared two of the Gorillas' nine offensive rebounds and added a pair of blocked shots as well.
Harper Schreiner (11),
Grace Pyle (11) and
Maycee James (10) also scored in double figures for Pitt State. Pyle added six rebounds and six assists.
Rockhurst (0-3) got a game-high 22 points from Keegan Sullivan.
Pitt State will make its home debut next Thursday (Nov. 21) when the Gorillas play host to Northwestern Oklahoma State University at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
