SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Pittsburg State University women's cross country team finished in 19^th place at the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
Redshirt senior Claire Bruening led the Gorillas with a 59^th place finish in the six-kilometer race at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in 21 minutes, 44.6 seconds.
 
Redshirt senior Marissa Dick placed 80^th in 21:56.0 and redshirt senior Kate Dawson finished 83th in 22:00.5
 
Adams State captured the national championship with a low score of 61 points. The Gorillas posted a score of 458 points in the meet.
