NEW ORLEANS — Pittsburg State University graduate Matthew Oglesby was recognized by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a 2024 NCAA Division II All-American Monday (Nov. 25).

Oglesby (Galena, Kan.) placed 16th overall – 14th scored position – at the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country Championships Saturday (Nov. 23), leading the Gorillas to a program best seventh place team finish.

Oglesby crossed the finish line in the 10-kilometer race held at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex at Sacramento, Calif., in 30 minutes, 00.3 seconds. He becomes a three-time NCAA Division II All-American after finishing in 38th place in 2022 and 19th place in 2023. Oglesby is now the program's third three-time All-America honoree.
