SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Pittsburg State University men's basketball team dropped a 68-60 decision to Colorado Mesa University in day two action of the River City Holiday Classic Wednesday (Dec. 18).
The Gorillas (6-5) shot just 29.9 percent from the field in the game, making 20 of 67 attempts. Pitt State helped its cause with 16 offensive rebounds.
Tane Prictor paced the Gorillas by posting a double-double with a team-leading 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Tanner Mans added 13 points while
Jordan Frison chipped in with 10.
CMU (6-6) placed five players in double figures with Ty Allred posting a game-high 18 points. Yaak Yaak added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks, who shot .453 from the floor (24-53).
Pitt State will return to action Jan. 2 when the Gorillas return home to resume MIAA play against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
