PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University football team will open its 2024 Spring Drills Tuesday (Mar. 26).
Head coach Tom Anthony and his coaching staff welcome approximately 100 players into spring camp. The Gorillas posted an 11-2 record, capturing the 2023 MIAA Championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division II national playoffs.
Pitt State will conduct practices Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 6:20 a.m. this week at Carnie Smith Stadium. April 2, 4, 5 practices will be held in the Robert W. Plaster Center.
Pitt State will host its Spring Game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Apr. 26, at Carnie Smith Stadium. The contest is open to the public.
Coaches Clinic Set For Friday (Mar. 29)
The Pitt State football staff also will host its 2024 Coaches Clinic Friday (Mar. 29) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The clinic features some of the region's top coaches speaking on a range of topics.
Registration begins at Noon with the first speaker beginning at 1 p.m.
The Gorillas practice Friday morning at Carnie Smith Stadium and all football meetings that morning are open to all high school coaches. Lunch will not be provided. Dinner/social will take place at Club 505 in downtown Pittsburg at 6 p.m.
