PITTSBURG - The Pittsburg State University women's volleyball team engaged in a close four-set defeat to the No. 24 University of Central Missouri Jennies on Friday (Oct. 10) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court.
The No. 24 Jennies of Central Missouri (13-3, 5-1 MIAA) claimed the match by set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23.
For the Gorillas (8-8, 2-4 MIAA),
Anna Dean led the team with 17 kills (.395) and eight total blocks for 21.5 points.
Kassidy Nixon and
Kennedy Behnke finished with seven kills while
Vix Vilott and
Don'Yah Cosie each registered six.
Jesa Wallaced notched a double-double with 45 assists and 12 digs,
Josie McCroskey accumulated 20 digs to lead the team with
Alexis Bittner second on the squad with 17.
Up next for Pittsburg State will be the Missouri Southern State University Lions on Saturday (Oct. 11), first serve from the Robert Ellie Young Gymnasium is set for 3:00 p.m. (CT).
