MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Pittsburg State University volleyball team dropped a straight decision to Northwest Missouri State University Saturday (Oct. 18). The Bearcats defeated the Gorillas 25-22, 25-20, 25-16.
Vix Villot paced Pitt State (8-11, 2-7 MIAA) with nine kills in the match, while Maddie LaPointe chipped in with seven kills and three block assists.
Josie McCroskey added a match-high 15 digs, while
Jesa Wallace compiled 15 assists.
NWMSU (8-10, 2-7 MIAA) got 10 kills from Gabrielle Gartner and nine kills from Natalie Herrington. The Bearcats outhit the Gorillas, 46-32, on kills in the match.
Pitt State will travel to Kansas City, Mo., for a non-conference match against Rockhurst University Wednesday (Oct. 22).
