MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. - The Pittsburg State University men's golf team wrapped up the MSSU Invite on Tuesday (Oct. 21) at the Shangri-La GC in fourth with two individuals finishing in the Top-10.
Tyler Hardtarfer (-1) and
Mason White (+4) finished third and tied for seventh, to lead the effort for the Gorillas. For Hardtarfer this is the second Top-10 finish of the season and the first for White at Pittsburg State.
David Hobart (+10, T-31st),
Cooper Forth (+15, T-50th),
Theo Juhl (+24, T-90th) and
Keaton Thissen (+30, T-98th) completed the team competing for the Gorillas.
Central Oklahoma claimed the team title with a score of -10, Washburn (+23), Missouri Western (+27), Pitt State (+28) and Central Missouri (+31) rounded out the top scoring teams at the MIAA point event. Baylor Bostick from UCO picked up the individual title with a -4 score, Bryant Polhill (-3) from UCO, Hardtarfer (-1), Jacob Fratzel (+1) from Washburn, Nicholas Canales (+2) from UCO and Peyton Coahran (+2) from Winona State comprised the top individual performers.
Up next for Pittsburg State will be the Tulsa Cup (Oct. 27-28) from the Indian Springs GC in Broken Arrow, Okla.
