WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The Pittsburg State University women's volleyball team finished the regular season with a three set loss on the road against the University of Central Missouri Jennies on Saturday (Nov. 15) at the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
Central Missouri (20-7, 11-5 MIAA) claimed the match with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-19.
Pittsburg State (13-14, 6-10 MIAA) was led by
Anna Dean with nine kills (.500) and four total blocks for 11.0 points. Maddi LaPionte also finished with 11.0 points from eight kills and a match-high six total blocks.
Jesa Wallace (15) and
Abby Carr (11) split setting duties, while
Josie McCroskey claimed a team-high 17 digs.
Up next for the Gorillas will be the MIAA Tournament on Thursday (Nov. 20) at the Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Mo. Pittsburg State will begin the tournament with the No. 2 seed Missouri Western Griffons.
