Rachel Wilson each received Athlete of the Week honors from the MIAA Tuesday (Dec. 9).
Wilhite compiled the top points total in NCAA Division II in the heptathlon in his season debut at the Boo Rogers Combined Events Friday and Saturday (Dec. 5-6) at the Robert W. Plaster Center. The redshirt junior from Humboldt, Kan., claimed victory in the multi-events with 5,182 points between the seven events, just 14 points shy of his personal best point total.
Wilson registered a personal best performance in the high jump Saturday, while claiming the No. 1 ranking in NCAA Division II in the discipline at the Crimson & Gold Invitational in Pittsburg. Wilson tied the Pitt State school record with her clearance of 5 feet, 10.5 inches. She bested her previous PR mark of 5-9.25 in claiming victory in the field of 23 competitors Saturday.
