PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams enjoyed solid debuts to their 2025-26 season Saturday (Dec. 6) by hosting the Crimson & Gold Invitational at the Robert W. Plaster Center.
The two squads combined to secure nine individual event victories and more than 20 NCAA qualifying marks on the weekend, including the Boo Rogers Combined Events competition.
The Pitt State women claimed five individual event wins:
Blakelee Winn in the pentathlon (3889 pts);
Kayvon Nubine in the 60m hurdles (8.38);
Rachel Wilson in the high jump (5-10.5);
Makayla Pavelka in the long jump (18-10.5); and the 4x400m relay –
Isabel Abdouch, Ala'Jay Brooks,
Kinleigh Hall,
Mikah Edwards – in 3:45.79.
The Pitt State men garnered four victories:
Drew Wilhite in the heptathlon (5182 pts);
Tyrone Jackson in the 60m hurdles (7.96);
Drake Stapleton in the shot put (59-6.5); and
Nate Watson in the 300m (33.25). Watson set a new facility record with his fast time in the 300 meters.
