PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team's road game against Oklahoma Baptist University scheduled for Tuesday (Feb. 18) has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather. The two schools will attempt to make up the non-conference tilt later this spring.
The Gorillas, who are off to a 7-0 start to the season, had their three-game home series against Maryville University scheduled for this past weekend canceled due to the weather. Pitt State's next action is a three-game MIAA home series against Emporia State University beginning Friday (Feb. 22).
The Gorillas have added three non-conference mid-week match-ups to their schedule later this month and in March to fill the void from the Maryville series. Pitt State will travel to Kansas City, Mo., to face Rockhurst University next Wednesday (Feb. 26) at 4 p.m. The Gorillas also will travel to Emporia, Kan., for a non-conference battle against ESU at 3 p.m.; and Pitt State will meet Maryville at Springfield, Mo., for a neutral site match-up on Mar. 19.
