PITTSBURG - Sophomore guard
Jordan Frison tied a career-high with 34 points in the Gorillas 86-66 win over Newman on Saturday (Feb. 8) at John Lance Arena/Whtezel Court.
Pittsburg State (13-9, 9-4 MIAA) also had key contributions from redshirt freshman forward
Evan Jackson, finishing with a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds. Graduate guard
Avery Taggart added 12 points and a game-high seven assists.
As a team the Gorillas shot .564 (31-of-55) from the field and .500 (8-of-16) from three-point attempts.
Newman (13-10, 6-8 MIAA) was led by Jordan Glenn-Hawkins (18), Boston Stanton III (15) and Deadric Fikes (12) in scoring.
