LINCOLN, Neb. --
Dapriest Hogans posted the second fastest time in school history in the 200 meters to highlight day two action at the University of Nebraska Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Saturday (Feb. 8) for the Pittsburg State University men's and women's indoor track & field teams.
Hogans won the discipline with a fast time of 21.01 seconds, posting the fourth fastest time in NCAA Division II this season.
Dakari Charlton also placed third in both the 60 meters (6.75) and the 200m (21.55).
Other notable marks for the Pitt State men included the 4x400m relay of
Woyn Chatman,
Amar Williams,
Caden Williams and
Nate Watson turning in a fast time of 3:11.59.
Johnetheon Lockett placed third in the triple jump (48-4.5).
Hunter Jones placed seventh in the heptathlon with 5,404 points, while
Drew Wilhite posted a personal-best 5,196 points in the multi events.
In the women's action, Haley Hadley and
Erica Schamel both cleared 5-8.75 in the high jump;
Diandrenique Gaines placed second in the 60m (7.50) and fifth in the 200m (24.36);
Kayvon Nubine finished second in the 60-meter hurdles (8.43); and the 4x400m relay of
Maddie O'Neill,
Jamiya Morgan,
Kinleigh Hall and
Olivia Lowrey turned in a season best time of 3:44.87.
Also Saturday, Pitt State throwers competed at the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat Invitational at Maryville, Mo.
Abby Lasiter posted marks of 44-4.5 in the shot put and 58-7.25 in the weight throw.
Brennan Boord (59-1.25) and
Jack Haukap (58-2.5) also placed second and third, respectively, in the men's weight throw.
