PITTSBURG -- The Pittsburg State University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams will host "The Almost Last Chance" Invitational Saturday (May 9) at the Russ Jewett Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
The meet will serve as a final opportunity for athletes to qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships scheduled for May 21-23. Action begins at Noon (CDT). Admission is $10, $8 for Seniors (55 & Older). Children 12 & under and PSU students with a valid student I.D. are free.
Both Pitt State squads enters the meet ranked No. 1 in the most recent United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Ratings Index (TFRI). The Gorillas men and women both claimed team titles at the 2026 MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships last week.
In addition to Saturday's home action, the Pitt State men will send a handful of athletes to the University of Arkansas Twilight Meet Friday (May 8).
