Brady Pacha tossed 7.0 shutout innings and the Pittsburg State University offense struck for three early runs in a 5-0 victory over Drury University Tuesday (Apr. 1) at Mark Worley Field at Meador Park.
Pacha (5-1) limited the Panthers (18-14) to five hits while registering four strikeouts. He combined with relievers
Braxton Haywood and
Cooper Crouch on a six-hit shutout in the contest.
The Gorillas (23-7), who posted their fifth straight win, jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Rickey Sanchez,
Drew Bugner and
Connor Allen all had RBI hits in the frame. Bugner added a run-scoring single in the fifth inning and
Jake Skaggs smacked a solo home run in the ninth to complete Pitt State's scoring.
