PITTSBURG — Pittsburg State University men's and women's outdoor track & field athletes enjoyed a solid day of competition Thursday (Apr. 17) in the PSU Tune Up Meet.
The Gorillas combined for five individual event victories:Â
Isabelle Peters in the women's pole vault (13-5.5);
Makayla Pavelka in the women's triple jump (39-7.5);
Jack Haukap in the men's hammer throw (217-7);
Dapriest Hogans in the men's 100 meters (10.12); and
David Capps in the men's 1,500 meters (4:04.28).
In other noteable action,
Joel Nyatusah and
Daylin Williams both recorded personal best times in the men's 110-meter hurdles. Nyatusah was clocked in 13.19 seconds, while Williams, who entered the meet as the NCAA Division II leader, posted a 13.42 time.
