Golf Sits 10th After First Day of MIAA Championship

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Pittsburg State University men's golf team wrapped up the first day of competition at the MIAA Championship in 10th as a team from the Jefferson City Country Club on Tuesday (Apr. 22).

Carson Towey after 36-holes is tied for 14th at +1 followed by Mason White (+6) tied for 32nd, Tyler Hardtarfer (+7) is tied for 39th, Keaton Thissen (+11) finishes tied for 52nd, Tanner John (+16) sits in 57th and Cooper Forth (+19) is 62nd.

Central Oklahoma leads the team standings at -3, with five individuals ranking in the top-25. Jeremy Tandoy from Arkansas - Fort Smith leads all individuals at -7 with a three stroke lead over his nearest competitor.

The final round of 18-holes will begin on Wednesday (Apr. 23) at 12:30 p.m. (CDT).
