ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Pittsburg State University baseball team completed a three-game MIAA series sweep of Missouri Western State University with an 8-1 win Sunday (Apr. 27).

Nixon Brannan each doubled in the contest for No. 17 Pitt State (36-9, 24-9 MIAA). Carson Coffee and
Kadyn Williams both drove in a pair of runs.
The Gorillas matched the second-highest win total in program history by recording their 36th victory of the season. The 1997 and 2002 squads each logged 39 wins, while the 1998 and 1999 teams each won 36 games..
