FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Pittsburg State University men's and women's track & field teams sent a handful of athletes to the University of Arkansas Twilight Meet Friday (May 9). The meet served as a final qualifier for the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships.

Woyn Chatman led a trio of Gorillas to record season best times in the men's 400 meters. Chatman was clocked in 46.39 seconds to record the 11th fastest time in Division II this season. That mark should secure him a berth into the national field.
Caden Williams also logged a season-best time of 47.64, while
Amar Williams was clocked in a season best 47.85.
Other notable men's performances included
Dapriest Hogans clocking a 20.36 time in the 200 meters.
Braylon Thompson (21.07) and
Nate Watson (21.15) also logged personal best times in the discipline.
Cole Sample also posted a best mark of 56 feet, 5.25 inches in the shot put.
In the women's action
Maddie O'Neill was clocked in a season best time of 56.87 in the 400 meters.
