KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Pittsburg State University junior Paige Mullen was named the MIAA Athlete of the Week for women's cross country Tuesday (Sept. 23).

Mullen led No. 10 ranked Pittsburg State to the team title at the 36th Annual Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday (Sept. 20) at Joplin, Mo. Mullen (Shawnee, Kan.) finished in second place in the five-kilometer race in 17 minutes, 10.64 seconds. The Gorillas posted a low score of 64 points in the race to claim the team title by 15 points.
