PIERSON, Mich. - The Pittsburg State University men's golf team completed the first day of the Pilgrim's Run Invite at the Pilgrim's Run GC on Monday (Sept. 8).
As a team, the Gorillas are 10th with a two-round score of +43 (627).
Tyler Hardtarfer leads the squad at +3 (150), tied for 13th among the 87 individuals competing.
Mason White is tied for 40th at +11 (158),
Cooper Forth is tied for 51st at +13 (160) and
Owen Buerke at +16 (163) is 65th to round out the top four for the Gorillas.
Leading the individual leader board is Santiago Caride from West Texas A&M with a seven-stroke lead at -8 (138). Atop the team leader board are the hosts West Texas A&M with an 18-stroke lead over Indian Hills Community College at -2 (582).
The Gorillas will conclude the opening tournament of the 2025-26 season on Tuesday (Sept. 9). Tee times have Pitt State beginning at holes 10-13 at approximately 6:30 a.m. (CDT).
