LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Pittsburg State University senior infielder Heather Arnett and graduate infielder Kadyn Trochim were named to the 2026 NFCA NCAA Division II Player/Pitcher of the Year Central Region Watchlist on Wednesday (Apr. 1).

For Arnett this is the third year in a row she has been announced onto the watchlist and the first time in Trochim's career.

This season, Arnett is hitting .572 with 79 hits, 55 runs scored, 35 RBI, 29 stolen bases with 11 doubles and five triples for an impressive 1.329 OPS (.746 SLG, .583 OB). Among Division II ranks, Arnett is 
the division leader for hits, runs scored and runs scored per game (1.57) while being second in batting average, seventh in total bases (103), eighth in on base percentage, 10th in stolen bases, 11th in triples, 18th in stolen bases per game (0.83) and 49th in RBI.

Trochim, leads the team with 52 runs driven in off of 45 hits for a .459 average, scoring 31 runs herself with 14 doubles collected and 27 walks being drawn for a 1.230 OPS (.653 SLG, .577 OB). Among Division II ranks this season, Trochim is tied for the division lead for sacrifice flies (7), fourth in RBI, seventh in runs driven in per game (1.49), 11th in on base percentage, 13th in doubles, 35th in doubles per game (0.40) and 37th in batting average.

All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season awards and do not have to be on the watchlist to be considered. The 2026 NFCA Player of the Year and NFCA/Portolite Pitcher of the Year will be announced on May 27, the day prior to the start fo the NCAA Division II National Championships.
